The Ichthyosaurus (often called Ichthy) is a friendly aquatic reptile found in the waters around most ARK maps. Resembling a dolphin in shape, these curious creatures are known for approaching swimmers and divers out of pure curiosity. They make excellent starter mounts for early-game ocean exploration due to their fast swimming speed and gentle nature. Unlike most tames, Ichthyosaurus is tamed through passive feeding rather than knockout combat.
