The Dragon is the ultimate boss creature in ARK: Survival Evolved, found in the Dragon Arena. This massive flying reptile dwarfs all other creatures in the game. It breathes devastating fire and can only be summoned by placing specific tribute items at an Obelisk or Supply Crate. Defeating the Dragon grants access to powerful Tek tier blueprints and Element.

Wild
The Dragon is a colossal winged reptile that serves as one of the three main bosses on The Island. Its fire breath can incinerate entire groups of survivors, and its massive size allows it to crush anything in its path.
Domesticated
While normally untameable, the Dragon can be briefly tamed in Survival of the Fittest for a short period before it turns on its master. It is the ultimate aerial combat mount if you can master it.
Behavior
- Found only in Dragon Arena (The Island), Ragnarok Arena, or Forsaken Oasis (Valguero)
- Very aggressive - attacks on sight
- Uses fire breath as primary attack
- Bipedal stance, becomes quadrupedal when sprinting
- Three difficulty levels: Gamma (purple), Beta (yellow/brown), Alpha (red)
- Drops increase with difficulty level
