Ice Golem
Creature Guide
Fantasy CreaturesOverview
The Ice Golem is a variant of the Rock Elemental, a massive elemental creature made of frozen ice and snow. Found primarily in the frozen tundras of Valguero
Dossier
Wild
Colossus petram is like no creature I have ever encountered. Its nearest relatives exist only in legend – mythical statues that could come to life like the Golem of Prague. The Ice Golem variant appears in the coldest regions, formed from frozen ice rather than rock. What survivor could possibly expect a seemingly benign ice formation to suddenly spring to life and attack them? Fortunately, its massive size makes it quite slow, so I would advise most survivors to flee immediately if encountering it in the wild.
Domesticated
If somehow tamed, an Ice Golem could prove to be an invaluable asset, particularly in a siege. Only armor piercing rounds or explosives can harm it at all, and it will handily smash through stone structures. Its icy nature provides additional utility in cold environments.
Behavior
- Appears as a dormant ice formation until approached within aggro range
- Extremely territorial - will attack any creature that comes too close
- Very slow movement speed but deals massive melee damage
- Has three attacks: Melee Smash, Boulder Throw (ranged), and Swipe (AoE)
- Returns to dormant form if target moves far enough away
- Wild creatures hit by Ice Golem do not fight back
- Solitary creature - does not spawn in groups
