InvertebratesOverview
The Jug Bug is a small flying insect found in ARK: Survival Evolved across multiple maps including Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Extinction, Genesis: Part 1, Crystal Isles, Genesis: Part 2, and Lost Island. It comes in two varieties: green Jug Bugs that store Water, and red Jug Bugs that store Oil. While they cannot be tamed, they are valuable passive resources for survivors in the desert. They have expandable fluid-storing pouches on their backs that can be harvested without killing them.
Dossier
Wild
Scutinphora puteus is a fast, flying insect that comes in two varieties, visually distinct only in the red or green markings on its exoskeleton. Biologically and behaviorally, they are practically the same. The only real difference between the two is the resource they gather in the expandable sacks on their backs. Scutinphora with green markings gather water, and Scutinphora with red markings gather oil.
Domesticated
Like many of the insects on the island, Scutinphora cannot be tamed. Beyond the resources obtained while hunting it, survivors will find no use for it.

- Passive temperament - will not attack survivors
