Overview
The Megalania is a giant monitor lizard in ARK: Survival Evolved, found primarily in caves across many maps. Reaching up to 3 meters long, it can climb walls and ceilings to ambush prey. Like real monitor lizards, it is venomous - its slow-acting poison drains health and strength until death unless cured with a rare antidote. Tamed Megalanias are excellent for vertical exploration, able to scale mountains, climb barricades, and hide in trees.
