Araneo
Creature Guide
InvertebratesOverview
The Araneo is a carnivorous invertebrate creature in ARK. This aggressive spider is found primarily in caves across all maps and can be tamed passively using spoiled meat. Despite its small size, the Araneo is immune to torpor and makes an excellent base defense mount with its venomous bite and web-slowing attack.
Dossier
Wild
Araneomorphus amalgotantibus is an aggressive cave-dwelling predator. It shoots webbing to snare prey and spits venom to subdue targets. Found in large swarms deep underground in caves, these spiders rely on their numbers to overwhelm opponents.
Domesticated
Tamed Araneos make excellent defensive mounts. Their venomous bite builds torpor while their web attacks slow enemies. They can be ridden and wield weapons simultaneously, making them perfect for taming other creatures and defending bases.
