Tek Stryder
Creature Guide
Mechanical CreaturesOverview
The Tek Stryder is a towering mechanical creature resembling a robotic deer or AT-AT from Star Wars, found roaming the Genesis: Part 2 landscape. Originally designed as robotic workhorses for cleaning toxins and harvesting resources, these impressive machines now serve as versatile tames with modular rig attachments. Each Tek Stryder spawns with two non-removable attachments—one on the head and one on the body—that determine its role: excavation and resource gathering, ranged combat, creature control through silencing abilities, scanning and tracking, heavy artillery, resource attraction, or defensive shielding. They are tamed through a unique non-violent hacking process requiring Mutagel and completed missions. With massive health pools of 4000 base HP, significant 68 base melee damage, and the ability to carry building platforms, Tek Stryders function as mobile bases capable of harvesting resources, defending against enemies, and transporting survivors across the challenging Genesis biomes. The creature is immune to torpor and has no food bar, making it exceptionally durable in the field. Its walk speed of 260 units per second and sprint speed of 910 units per second make it slow but steady for base operations.
